Journalist and broadcaster Bel Mooney officially opened the new Relate Mid Wiltshire premises in Trowbridge last Thursday.
The family counselling charity has moved to Prospect Place having outgrown its previous site in Church Street, where there were also problems with disabled access.
Ms Mooney, a Relate patron, said: “For the last seven years I have been writing advice columns in the Daily Mail. I realise how important Relate is because so many people need help in many ways.”
The charity employs 28 counsellors/trainers and a small office team which has dealt with more than 900 adults and 1,200 children in the last year.
Chairman Lesley Braithwaite said the new site gives space for training and meetings, saving money and more office space to enable greater efficiency.
