Pupils from the Springfields Academy in Calne joined builders from construction company Kier for a charity cycle ride in aid of the RUH Forever Friends Appeal on Tuesday.
Three pupils took part in the cycle ride in support of the construction company, which is six weeks away from completing a project for 16 new classrooms at the school.
Staff members from Kier were challenged to take part in a 500-mile relay challenge starting in Cornwall and visiting every site where the company has ongoing building work.
The pupils cycled with them from Wroughton, taking in the Ridgeway, Fyfield Down, and finishing at Barbury Castle.
Staff from Kier will update the school’s quad bike track with left-over soil from the building site and have raised £600 for new quad bikes.
Each leg of Kier's 500-mile challenge stretches has been supporting a different local charity. Others being supported are Cornwall Air Ambulance, Devon Air Ambulance and St David’s Hospice in Wales.
