Families took advantage of the fine weather to enjoy lunch in Hillworth Park, Devizes, on Sunday.
The park café was running the Big Lunch, part of a national initiative, and people could either bring their own food or tuck into snacks at the café or the barbecue.
Tony Hickman, a director of Parklife Entertainments, which runs the cafe, also played music covering a variety of styles and decades.
Café manager Gill Oakley said: “It was a good day, there were lots of families with kids.
“Many brought picnics to enjoy on the lawn but others bought food from the café and we had a successful day.
“I think it was one of the nicest days we have had. It was great to see so many people in the park enjoying themselves. That’s one of the really good things about Hillworth Park – when you get a crowd of people here it buzzes.”
The Big Lunch was started six years ago and encourages people across the UK to have lunch with their neighbours once a year, for a few hours of friendship and fun. On Sunday it is estimated four million people took part across the UK.
