A fun day in Chippenham will raise funds to allow men with disabilities to have affordable holidays.

Pioneer One have organised a day at The Kingfisher pub in Hungerdown Lane on Saturday, June 28, from noon, with live music all day and into the evening.

The charity, which has been established in Chippenham since 1992, takes disabled men aged over 18 for a week’s holiday to Woodlarks campsite in Farnham, Surrey, which has amenities to cater for wheelchair users.

Camp manager Gilly Hayward said: “All our helpers give a week of their time to look after and entertain our campers with a full seven-day entertainment programme. We need to raise £2,500 a year to run it and enable us to keep it affordable to all. Please come along and support us, we could really use the help.”
