Police are urging drivers not to leave valuables in their cars after five break-ins in 17 hours in Devizes.

Four cars had sat navs stolen from them and £15 was stolen from the other one.

It happened in St Joseph’s Place, The Breach, Green Lane and Woodford Close between 2pm on Tuesday, June 10, and 7.30am on Wednesday, June 11.

Sgt Joanne Spencer said: “Wiltshire Police regularly advise drivers and vehicle owners to ensure that their vehicles are secure and not to leave valuable items in them, using both traditional and social media sites to try and get the message across to as wide a section of the public as possible.”
