Southern Electric apologises for brief 'outage'

Wiltshire Police HQ in London Road, Devizes, was hit by a power cut in the town this morning.

The Southern Electric spokesman said: “We had a power outage at 7.10am this morning to approximately 1,925 customers and it was back on at 7.13am.

"The high voltage network tripped out.

"We have engineers on site at the police station carrying out some work.

"We would like to apologise to all our customers who were affected.”

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said emergency response and both the emergency and non-emergency call centres were not affected.
