SWIMMING: Millward on form in Manchester

BOX'S multiple Paralympic medallist Stephanie Millward swam into second position in the women's multi-classification 100m freestyle heats on the opening evening of the British Gas International Meet at Manchester Aquatics Centre tonight.

Millward clocked 1:03.92 for 873 points behind Preston's Stephanie Slater.

Melksham's Rachel Williams, part of Wales' team for next month's Commonwealth Games, swam 57.79 for 15th fastest in the women's 100m freestyle heats.

Trowbridge's Aaron Moores swam 1:11.35 for second position (817 points) in the heats of the men's multi-classification 100m breaststroke. Corsham's Craig Harris was sixth with 610 points in 1:18.65.
