A pink ladies’ night organised by six old school friends will be held at the Woodlands Social Club on August 23 to raise money for Break-through Breast Cancer.

The night, which begins at 7pm, is being held at the social club for the fourth year running and will include games with prizes, a raffle and a disco.

For ladies over 18 only, it is being organised by Felicity Sangster, Jo Simpsons, Emma Clifford and sisters Gemma, Zoe and Kirsty Powney who all went to Calne’s John Bentley School.

Last year’s event attracted more than 100 people and raised £1,409 for Break-through Breast Cancer.

Mrs Sangster, 29, of Anson Avenue, Calne, is fundraising as her mum Janet Flay was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010.

She said: “With the amazing help she received from the doctors and nurses, she is now in remission.”

Tickets are £5. To book, call 07817 967915 or email prettyandpink2011@hotmail.com
