Volunteers at Melksham’s charity-run Art House Cafe served up something special this year, raising thousands of pounds for local and international causes.
The Market Place eatery, which has been run by the Melksham Rotary Club for three years, hosted the club’s annual presentation evening on Wednesday, when more than £16,000 was given out.
Beneficiaries included the Melksham Food Bank, the 1st Broughton Gifford Scouts and the Melksham-based Wiltshire Mind.
The group also raised £1,500 for the DEC Philippines appeal, following last year’s devastating typhoon.
Vice president Sarah Hiscocks said: “It was a really good evening, we had people from the charities we were presenting to, and it was great to have a bit of a catch up.”
