Wiltshire Council is hoping to save almost a quarter of a million pounds as it confirms it will not replace two recently-departed executives.

Mark Stone, programme director for the council’s transformation programme, who oversaw the renovation of County Hall, will leave the council on July 11, while head of the Campus project Lucy Murray-Brown is seconded to Bristol Council. Their work will be taken on by the council’s three corporate directors, Carlton Brand, Maggie Rae and Carolyn Godfrey.

In a statement to council staff they said: “The transformation programme including our campus delivery is a key area of work for the organisation and as such will be co-led by the three corporate directors.”
