A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to the Great Western Hospital this morning after colliding with a car in Old Town.
Police and the ambulance service were called to Westcott Place at 11.10am after reports of a collision between a motorbike and a grey Audi outside La Carbonara restaurant.
The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries and was driven to GWH in an ambulance, according to Wiltshire Police.
Chief Inspector Charlie Dibble said: "There was an accident between a motorcycle and a car. the motorcyclist has been injured. It's minor injuries and he has been taken to the hospital for check-ups. We received the call at 11.10am. Details about the motorcyclist have not been passed to me."
The road will be closed until further notice, as police await a recovery team to remove the motorcycle.
