POLICE will keep the 28-year-old arrested on suspicion of the murder of Aulton ‘Tom’ Rogers in cuffs until late tomorrow night while they continue to gather evidence.
The male was arrested on Monday evening at a home in the Southbrook Street extension in Ferndale, but not there is not currently enough evidence to charge the suspect.
Yesterday evening a superintendent with the force signed off a 12 hour extension to the detention period, and at a closed court session this morning a magistrate gave officers another 36 hours in which to hold the man for questioning.
The investigation continues.
