Young adults waved goodbye to their time at Hardenhuish School in Chippenham with a James Bond casino-themed prom in an attractive setting near Calne.

The 140 year 13 students arrived at Wellington Barn, Calstone, by coach on a gloriously sunny evening on Tuesday.

A three-course meal was followed by awards, gaming tables, live music and a disco. Simon Munday, who left year 13 last year, returned to DJ.

There were also speeches from head boy and head girl Dan Rignall and Emily Prescott.

Sixth form pastoral manager Anne Ceazar said: “It was a beautiful summer evening in a very attractive setting.

"The students had really dressed up and looked amazing, they really went to town on the theme. There were lovely balloon decorations with playing card details in red, white and black.

“The students organise the whole event themselves with minimal help from staff.

“It’s a brilliant way to end their time at Hardenhuish, a bit sad as they will be missed, but also we know they will go onto amazing university courses or other exciting new challenges.”

The event was mostly organised by Dan Rignall with help from Sam Keat.
