A pedestrian was trapped by a car which rolled down a hill after its handbrake failed in Castle Combe.
A 40-year-old woman was hit by the car and pinned against a wall outside the Castle Inn Hotel at 3.30pm on Tuesday.
Police said the Honda belonged to a tourist and had been parked up in the village for 20 minutes before the failure.
No one was in the car at the time.
It is not known how long the woman was trapped for. An ambulance took her to the Royal United Hospital in Bath at 4.25pm.
The ambulance service described her as conscious with an injured lower leg.
