A Chippenham nursery welcomed actor Simon Shepherd to its tenth anniversary celebrations.
Redland Nursery in Brook Street was officially opened by the Peak Practice star a decade ago.
He returned on Saturday June 21 to cut a special cake and join in the celebratory open day featuring farm animals, den-building, art and craft activities and a treasure hunt.
Since opening, the Barnardo’s nursery has supported more than 700 children. And among the visitors was Angela Dalton and her 10-year-old daughter Amy. She was just four months old when the nursery opened and was one of the first children to go there.
Barnardo’s nursery manager Tracey Major said: “The team have helped hundreds of local children to achieve their potential and many of the staff have been with us since the beginning.”
Mr Shepherd said: “Redland deserve praise for working with so many families and giving so many children the best possible start in life.”
