Tesco is running its fourth neighbourhood food collection in a bid to collect meals for those in need.
Food can be donated in Chippenham’s Emery Gate store until Saturday.
Customers will be given a specially selected shopping list when they enter the store and will be asked to pick up an item of food such as long-life milk, cereal, tinned foods and tea and coffee before donating it at the end of their shop.
Tesco will top up total donations by a further 30 per cent. The food will be given to people in times of crisis by food redistribution charity FareShare.
Store manager James Ryan said: “Our customers were incredibly generous when we held our last food collection in the winter, so we’re hoping to collect an even bigger total this time around.”
