Children and staff at Minster Primary School took part in a Sporting Bling Your Active Journey, organised by charity Sustrans.
The pupils were invited to decorate their bikes, scooters and feet with a sporting theme to encourage them to be active on their journey to school.
A range of sports were creatively represented, including football, swimming, judo and even dressage.
The children paraded their creations in the playground and prizes were awarded for the best ‘bling’.
Jo Collett from Sustrans said: “Walking, scooting and cycling to school is a great way for our children to get the exercise they need every day to keep healthy, and research shows it allows them to become better students in the classroom.
It’s great fun too and our data shows the majority of children want to come to school this way.”
