It was a bug’s life at Winsley Primary School’s annual fair last Saturday with pupils following the bug theme to raise money for a new outdoor classroom.
Cupcakes were decorated in the theme and a bug expert showed an array of creatures to the crowd.
Other entertainment was provided by an inflatable assault course, Morris dancers and school choir.
Caroline Roofs, chairman of PTA, said: “Our chairman of governors said it was the best one we have seen.
“The bug man was a great success and the headmistress (Becky Wilson) overcame her fear of snakes by touching one.
“Lots of people were involved in the Great Winsley Bake-off and tug of war.
“We are trying to make it a real village event, rather than just for the school.”
