Warminster is inviting people into its historic buildings – many usually closed to the public – for Heritage Open Day from Thursday to Sunday, September 11-14.
The event offers free open access to historic buildings across the country. Warminster Civic Trust is organising the town’s day when it plans to open many of the town’s important architectural and cultural buildings including St Lawrence Chapel and The Athenaeum Centre, High Street.
Chairman of Warminster Civic Trust, Richard Hayes, said: “We plan to open places like the Masonic Hall, as many people probably don’t know it is even there.”
Trust members will be guides for the event and volunteers are also needed. See www.warminstercivictrust.com
