MELKSHAM Town continued their preparations for the beginning of the new season this weekend with victory in their final pre-season friendly of the summer last weekend.
Darren Perrin’s Toolstation League Premier Division outfit, who were also in action when they lost 1-0 at Chippenham Town last Thursday, claimed a 2-1 win over Hellenic League Shrivenham.
Elsewhere, Westbury United hit the goal trail as they beat Trowbridge Town 5-2 at Meadow Lane, with Grant Gunning, Simon Millard, Mark Young, Matt Mead and Nick Taylor all on target.
Warminster Town claimed a fine 3-1 over Cadbury Heath, with Beau Blakeman scoring either side of half-time after Sam Clift had given Derek Graham and Andy Crabtree’s men an early lead.
Corsham Town beat Malmesbury Victoria, now plying their trade in the Wiltshire League, 4-1 at the Southbank whilst Bradford Town won 1-0 at home to Trowbridge & District League outfit White Horse in a hastily-arranged encounter.
