Everyone from babies in prams to a 93-year-old lady in a wheelchair enjoyed the spectacle as the Wadworth shire horses kicked off their summer holiday in Poulshot today.
Max and Monty are the only two remaining shires at the brewery but they put on a wonderful show as they galloped in glee around a field watched by a crowd of more than 500 people.
First Max, 11, and Monty, 10, called in at The Raven pub for a taste of Wadworth ale.
Among the crowd was Bunny Odbert, 93, from Market Lavington.
She said: “I have been coming every year since they started doing this in Poulshot. I would not miss it for the world.”
