OLYMPIC champion Ed McKeever claimed two bronze medals on the final day of the Canoe Sprint World Championships in Moscow today.

The 30-year-old, from Bradford on Avon, finished third in the K1 200m - the discipline he won gold in at London 2012 - after coming home just 0.3 seconds behind winner Mark De Jonge of Canada.

McKeever then teamed up with Liam Heath, Jon Schofield and Kristian Reeves to win bronze in the K1 200 relay.

"I'm happy enough with the outcomes (this season)," said McKeever, who missed the World Cup races due to illness but took K1 200 silver in the European Championships last month.

"Obviously it's always nice to win but you don't win every time.

"Today was quite tight, I'm pleased enough with third and I've got a lot more to do over the next couple of years."

Bradford on Avon Canoeing Club's Hannah Brown finished sixth in her K1 women's 200m semi final on Saturday in 40.920.
