Former Devizes mayor and mayoress Peter and Susan Evans received a Breathe Easy tea towel as memento of their visit to the Breathe Easy Group at Pewsham.

The North Wiltshire branch was pleased to welcome them to talk about their years as councillors and mayors respectively.

Both gave separate talks on their experiences in office, giving an insight into their varied roles, demonstrating the high level of involvement and commitment that’s required.

The visitors were complimentary on the sociability of members, the organisers and its programme of activities.

The group is run by volunteers and is self-funded but is still able to contribute funds for research into the many types of lung conditions. The Breathe Easy support group network of the British Lung Foundation provides support and information for people living with a lung condition.

The local group meets at the Pewsham Community Centre on the first Tuesday of each month. To attend, call Val on (01380) 721139 or turn up on the day.
