With 92.7mm of rainfall, this was the wettest August in Wiltshire since 2010 when 104mm was recorded.
Amateur weatherman Geoff Witts recorded the figures from his Steeple Ashton home, which showed temperatures reaching highs of 26.1 degrees and lows of 5.2 degrees.
He noted that the temperatures were the coolest since 1993, when the mean temp was only 15.1 degrees.
