The Royal British Legion branch in Westbury has announced it will not be parading through the town for Remembrance Day because of roadworks on the A350.
Branch chairman Mary Kneen said: “It is with regret that the Royal British Legion Westbury branch will not be parading through the town on November 9.
“Due to the roadworks, we have no guarantee that the route we use will be open or the road surface suitable. Our prime concern is the safety of all those who march.”
They are instead inviting everyone to join them at the War Memorial in Edward Street at 10.30am for the Remembrance service.
They are also looking for budding musicians from the town to lead the parade next year.
