Trowbridge funeral directors Barker & Courtiers is inviting people to pay tribute to loved ones by leaving a message on a special memorial Christmas tree from Monday.

The firm, based in Bond Street, has been offering members of the public the opportunity to put memorial tags on its tree every Christmas for more than five years.

Anyone wishing to take advantage of the opportunity can visit the branch in Trowbridge to get a memorial tag or, alternatively, people can send messages.

Funeral director Stephen Coke, who has been with the firm for two years, said: “We have been doing this for over five years and we have always done it since I have been here.

“It is not just for clients that we have served, it is open to everybody, including the whole community in Trowbridge and the surrounding villages.

“We have tags here and if people want to come in they can take away a tag and then send it back in once they have written their message.”
