POLICE are appealing for information after a 14-year-old girl was assaulted by a man wearing a black balaclava in Westbury at around 3.15pm on Friday, November 21.
The assault took place while the girl, from Westbury, was walking through the alleyway that leads from Frogmore Road to Gloucester Walk.
She was struck in the face by a man causing her to fall to the ground. She was able to get up and run off to safety. Fortunately the victim was not seriously injured but was shaken by the incident.
The man is described as approximately six foot tall and was dressed all in black, including a black balaclava and black gloves.
Anyone who was in the area at the time or who has any information regarding this incident is asked to contact PC Cerys Powell at Trowbridge Police Station by calling 101.
