A MOTORCYCLIST broke his leg during a collision in the rush-hour yesterday morning.

The man, 53, was involved in a collision with a car as he travelled along Cricklade Road at 7.50am.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene with the rider being checked over.

Nobody else was hurt and the motorcyclist, who also hurt his elbow, was taken by ambulance to Great Western Hospital for further treatment.

During the incident commuters suffered delays as the emergency services made sure the man was safe and carried out investigations.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is being urged to call Wiltshire Police on 101, with officers carrying out an investigation and wanting to know more.
