A Wiltshire College student has raised just under £500 for Dorothy House Hospice after a charity head shave.
Catherine Powell-Aslett, 16, from Trowbridge, a Level 2 health and social care student at Wiltshire College Chippenham, decided to have her locks shorn and chose the Winsley-based hospice after the care they gave to her late granddad.
The teenager kicked off her sponsorship at the Chippenham campus and with family and friends before going under the clippers at the Faded Hair Studio in Trowbridge at the start of the Christmas holidays.
With £480 already collected and money still to come in, she now expects to hand over a cheque to the hospice within the next few weeks.
