MASSIMO Luongo’s mentor has talked up the possibility of the midfielder’s exit from Swindon Town, with Championship Brentford and La Liga giants Sevilla reportedly both interested.

Luongo’s performances at the Asian Cup have seen him emerge as one of the Socceroos’ key players in their run to the semi final.

It seems the 22-year-old’s starring role at the tournament in his homeland have garnered wider attention than his impressive displays during Swindon Town’s surprise title push.

The report, on Australian site sbs.com, linked Luongo with moves to a number of clubs in the Championship, namely Brentford and Wolves, as well as naming Europa League holders Sevilla as an interested party.

Ahead of the Town midfielder’s appearance in tomorrow’s last-four match-up with the UAE, the man who brought Luongo to England, Australian agent David Magrone, confirmed the Bees’ interest before qualifying his compatriot’s desire to continue his efforts in Swindon’s push for promotion.

“Brentford is an option for him but it’s important that he takes his time because there is plenty of interest from elsewhere also,” said Magrone.

"The Asian Cup has certainly brought Mass to the attention of a lot of people who might not have known too much about him beforehand.

"Ideally, I think he'd like to stay in England and if he stays at Swindon until the end of the season, that will be fine by him.

"They are pushing hard for promotion to the Championship and moving there from Spurs has been good for him and his career. He is happy there."
