A grand Spring Draw run by Wiltshire Air Ambulance is offering a top prize of £5,000.
This year’s draw, in the life-saving service’s 25th year, was launched by Sadia Chant.
Her two children, Emmy and Max, were involved in a car accident on their way to school in Yatton Keynell last year. Max, then ten, needed urgent treatment and was airlifted to Bristol Children’s Hospital with a broken back.
He is now recovering well and has started at Harden-huish School in Chippenham.
Mrs Chant said: “Max was extremely lucky. Things could easily have been far, far worse.
“Every time I look at my son, I’m so thankful that Wiltshire Air Ambulance was there for him. The crew’s amazing knowledge and judgement saved him.
“That’s why I helped to launch the Grand Spring Draw; a great way to help raise the £6,850 a day Wiltshire Air Ambulance needs to keep flying.”
She urged people to buy a book of tickets, or sell tickets to friends and relatives to raise funds.
There is a second prize of £250, £100 for third prize and three £50 consolation prizes.
Tickets cost £1 each and there are ten in a book. They can be bought by calling (01380) 739453. The draw will be made on March 21.
