A TEENAGER used money his parents gave him to buy hundreds of pounds worth of crack cocaine to take to a party.

Ashcon Raeisinezhadian, 19, who says he had never bought the drugs before, had been given the cash to buy clothes and other shopping, a judge was told.

Instead Raeisinezhadian splashed out £200 on almost seven grams of the highly addictive substance which was stuffed in his pants when he was arrested by police.

And after Raeisinezhadian lied about his identity when he was in a car stopped in the early hours of the morning, he was charged with being involved in crack dealing.

The teenager, who has no previous convictions, had been due to face trial at Swindon Crown Court on a charge of possessing nine wraps of the drug with intent to supply.

But before a jury could be sworn in prosecutors dropped the allegation and instead accepted his plea to simple possession.

Tessa Hingston, prosecuting, said police on Queens Drive saw a BMW being driven erratically in the early hours of Wednesday, June 4, last year.

"When it was stopped the two occupants were evasive and gave false details. Mr Raeisinezhadian was searched and found to have nine bags in his underwear," said Ms Hingston.

"The basis of his plea is that he had purchased the drugs shortly before the incident for about £200 and he was going to a party and was intending to use those as well."

She said aside from the £150 cash which was found on him there was no evidence of dealing, such as text messages on his phone or other paraphernalia.

When the drugs were examined she said they were of average purity with a street value of up to £360.

Raeisinezhadian, of Faringdon Road, pleaded not guilty to possession with intent to supply but guilty to simple possession.

Paul Trotman, defending, said had there been a trial his client's parents would have told the court they had given him the cash he had on him.

"The money he had on him and had used to purchase drugs is money given to him by them, not to purchase drugs but to purchase shopping and clothing," he said.

"He then took it upon himself to purchase these drugs as he was going to a party. He assures me it was the first time he had bought any drugs.

"He bought in the sum of nine wraps he had on him. They were put down his trousers on the instruction of the person he purchased them from.

"He gave a false name because he panicked as he knew he had drugs on him."

He said Raeisinezhadian was not currently in work and received about £30 a week from his parents as he looks for a job.

Judge Tim Mousley QC said: "You are 19 and you are someone of good character. I am told you are unable to get work at the moment.

"I am going to fine you for this offence. I am going to fine you a total of £650, £150 can be paid within 14 days and the balance of £500 at £20 a week."

He said he would face a 21-day jail term in default and must also pay a £15 surcharge and ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
