AVONFIELD Gardens co-owner James Vincent said it is a privilege to be crowned Wiltshire’s Best Garden Centre in the Wiltshire Times area, after being voted for by readers as their favourite.

The garden centre was initially opened by Mr Vincent and co-owner Matthew Webb in Bradford on Avon in 2008, before relocating to The Nursery in Marsh Road, Hilperton.

The Times launched the Wiltshire’s Best competition in 2015 to give readers the chance to decide which local businesses deserve recognition for being the best in the area.

There will be 12 categories over the year, with a different category each month. As part of winning the competition, the shop will receive a personalised front page to display in their business.

Mr Vincent, who also owns J Alex Brown hardware in Bradford on Avon, said: “It is a huge honour for us and to get the award for Wiltshire’s Best garden centre so early after our move is a great compliment. We are so touched by the kindness and support we have received from everyone.”
