CHIPPENHAM Green Party candidate Tina Johnston and friends created an 'installation' for the constituencies of Chippenham, North Wiltshire, Devizes and South West Wiltshire in Box to promote the party ahead of the May 7 election.
Ms Johnston said: "All the candidates, as well as lots of enthusiastic party members, helped.
"Myself, Phil Randle (South West Wiltshire) and Emma Dawney (Devizes) were also invited to attend a meeting with Julia Davenport, CEO of Good Energy, to discuss future plans for the green energy company and what they have achieved as the leading 100% renewable energy provider.
"We talked about the new and exciting power storage facilities technologies that are leading the way to make the country self sustaining in the power market, such as flywheel and isotropic. At the moment we are at 30% renewable.
"We also talked about the unfavorable use of nuclear as an energy source due to the high amount of carbon needed to mine uranium and leaving the legacy of waste to our grandchildren to work out how to safely dispose of it."
