DRINKING beer will become a charitable act, thanks to a new campaign.

The Bespoke Brewery, based in Gloucestershire, has launched a beer in aid of the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity.

Cheeky Chopper will be flying into pubs across the region, with 10p from every pint sold going to GWAAC.

The name of the beer was the result of an online poll.

GWAAC community fundraising co-ordinator Nicole Beebee said: “This is a really unique way to support us, and I am excited for Cheeky Chopper to hit the shelves.

“We are so grateful to Bespoke Brewery for making this beer for us, it is a great fundraising opportunity.

“What better way to support you local air ambulance than by enjoying a pint of beer, and knowing that money will go towards keeping the helicopter flying?”

The beer will be available in draught from pubs, and will also be sold in bottles.

Mike Bayliss, from Bespoke Brewery, said: “This is something very close to my heart as my son and his friend were air lifted to hospital following a car accident last year.

“I hope you enjoy your pint with the added bonus of knowing that you’ve just donated to this invaluable service.”

The first opportunity to taste Cheeky Chopper will be at the launch party on August 29, at Bespoke Brewery, The Mews, Mitcheldean, Gloucestershire
