SWINDON Town have confirmed the signing of Birmingham City striker Wes Thomas on loan until January.
With Michael Smith being sent on loan to Barnsley until January and Miles Storey being loaned out to Inverness Caladonian Thistle on the last day of the transfer window, Town needed to move for a striker with both Jonathan Obika and Jermaine Hylton on the sidelines.
Thomas will be available for Swindon’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy fixtures, but it is not yet known if he will feature in tonight's squad to face Newport County.
And, as per the terms of a standard loan registration, there shall be no recall during the loan.
The 28-year-old moved to the Blues last summer from Rotherham and scored four goals in 33 league appearances last campaign.
Thomas scored both of Birmingham's goals in a 2-0 win over Gillingham in the Capital One Cup last week.
