THE search has been called off for missing man Richard Roberts.

His family took to social media over the course of the weekend to appeal for Richard to get in touch after he didn’t appear home on Friday night.

Mr Roberts was last heard from when he text home to say that he was leaving work in Penhill and would soon be home. But he did not arrive.

His mother Chelsea Johnson told the Adver on Monday evening that police had discovered his body.

A spokeswoman for Wiltshire Police confirmed they had been called at 12.22pm on Monday to an address in Penhill amid reports of a sudden death at the location.

The spokeswoman added: “Ambulance and Police attended the scene where they confirmed a man, aged 30, was found dead inside a residential property.

“Next of kin have been informed and formal identification will take place in due course.

“The man was reported as missing on Friday, 3 October, and police had been making efforts to locate him.

“There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.”
