DAYS Are Forgotten, more like a day to remember. From the moment Kasabian stepped on stage the Swindon crowd were bewitched as the alchemy of these rock 'n' rollers wove their magic.

A tsunami of hit after hit enveloped the senses, Underdog, Shoot The Runner, Days Are Forgotten, Eez-eh and Empire had enthusiastic fans of all ages leaping in the air, clapping and singing along with every word.

For what was supposed to be just a warm up gig, Tom, Serge, Ian and Chris proved themselves worthy winners of the Q Award for Best Act In The World Today, that they won in 2010 and 2014.

The light show was seamlessly orchestrated with every number telling a story. The lights and music combined to create imagery of fast and furious thunderbolt lightning, laser sirens of danger streaked across the ceiling, and in one number the psychedelic sounds of outer space was followed closely by a gentler soft atmospheric focus.

A dedication to a loyal fan called Ryan pre-empted a powerful and poignant version of Goodbye Kiss and in total contrast Kasabian's version of Fat Boy Slim's Praise Him converted the Oasis into a football stadium, as the musicians paid tribute to their beloved Leicester Football Club.

The sell out Swindon crowd were packed to the gunnells in the hall but all were good natured and relishing the calibre of music from these titans of rock.

Most, like me were huge fans, but the friend I took with me is more of a jazz and folk friend so it was with trepidation I asked how she enjoyed the show. She loved every minute of it.
