MARION SAUVEBOIS discovers that imitation is the sincerest form of entertainment this autumn

FROM ABBA and the King himself to Adele, not to mention a flying visit from Frank Sinatra's doppelganger and Celine Dion's stage twin, it will be tributes galore at the Wyvern this autumn. So if you were in the cradle at the height of these legends’ fame or never got round to catching them on their world tours, this is your chance.

TOTALLY TINA

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. If that's true then Tina Turner must be one Proud Mary, as her protégée Justine Riddoch has just scooped up not one but four industry awards for her act, Totally Tina.

The show is a glitzy tribute to the legendary American singer who sold a record-breaking 200m albums throughout her career. But Justine makes sure to inject her own personal touch and sass into the production too.

Featuring a full band and backing vocalists, Totally Tina charts the early days with Ike, through songs like River Deep and Mountain High, all the way to her comeback in the 80s with her powerful cover of the Al Green classic, Let’s Stay Together, and huge hits Simply The Best and What’s Love Got To Do With It.

Totally Tina comes to the Wyvern on September 8 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £20.50 and available on 01793 524 481 or at swindontheatres.co.uk.
