A SAM Jordan double was enough to see Melksham through to the next round of the Les Phillips Cup as they were 2-0 winners over Bishop Sutton.

Jordan grabbed his first goal on 16 minutes, but then missed a penalty moments before adding a decisive second to seal the win.

Danny Greaves’ Bradford Town were unable to beat the weather for the second week in a row as their cup tie away to Brislington was postponed.

Elsewhere in the cup, Devizes Town were humiliated by Bristol Manor Farm as they lost 10-0 at The Creek.

However, Warminster Town recorded a 3-0 win over Radstock Town to progress in the competition largely down to a Jack Miluk double.

James Goddard’s Westbury also fell victim to the weather as their game against Cheddar was postponed.

Calne Town, now managed by Dave Ferris, were in action, hosting Beversbrook in the Wiltshire Senior Cup and were 2-0 winners thanks to strikes from Stuart Windsor and Tom Boakes.

Corsham Town were unlucky in their Les Phillips Cup game as they were on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline at home to Cribbs.

Meanwhile in Sydenhams Division One, Pewsey Vale were thumped 7-1 at home by United Services Portsmouth.
