A NEW brochure which contains information on all aspects of Warminster is available to pick up for free from cafés, restaurants and tourism centres across Wiltshire.

Put together by Heart of Warminster founders Lesley Blain and George Rich, the brochure showcases local restaurants, tourism attractions and shops.

Mrs Blain said: “We’re delighted to have the brochure finished having started it in October.

“When the information centre closed down and we were made redundant, George and I felt that there was still a need to promote Warminster, so we started up Heart of Warminster.

“Every year since then we have released a brochure focusing on a different theme.

“This year it’s sports and arts, so there’s information on Warminster Rugby Club, the Athenaeum as well as the best places to visit in the area.

“We both work full time now so it was a little bit tricky finding the time to put it all together, but it all worked out in the end and we’re happy with the finished product.

“Our hope is that any visitor to Warminster can pick it up and have a comprehensive idea of what’s going on in the town.”

The front cover of the brochure was designed by local artist Pily Blatt, who specialises in Chinese and abstract art.

This year the brochure can also be viewed online. which Mrs Blain hopes will make it more accessible to people outside Warminster as well as its residents.

Heart of Warminster was formed in 2015 and has a Facebook page which updates its followers on the town’s most notable news and events.
