SWINDON Town Ladies will be hoping home advantage will help them secure just a third win in the FA Women’s Premier League Southern Division this season when they host fellow strugglers West Ham United on Sunday.

Town have found it tough to adapt to life at their new level following last season’s promotion and are currently third from bottom in the table.

Steve Robertson’s side have not tasted victory since October and head into the clash against the Hammers on a seven-match losing streak, the most recent being an 8-0 drubbing at the hands of league leaders Cardiff City last weekend.

West Ham are enduring an equally tough run at present and have triumphed just once in the league this term, although they are still level on points with Town and are only below them on goal difference.

This is the first league meeting between the sides of the campaign, although they have already met when the Hammers came out on top in a penalty shoot-out in September following a 2-2 draw in the FA Women’s Premier League Plate.

Sunday’s match at Barrington Park in Shrivenham will be Town’s maiden home game of 2017 and first since November 27 and they will want to make the most of that in the battle for precious points.
