A PAMPER evening organised by grandmother Gaile Bishop has raised nearly £900 for a village school.

Mrs Bishop helped by her daughter Charity Easton organised The Ladies Room 2017 to raise cash for Dauntsey Academy Primary School.

Mrs Bishop said: "I was thrilled that the grand total of £896.87 was raised with a donation made today to the DAPS pre-school of £25 and the balance of £871.87 to the Dauntsey Academy Primary School."

The evening at West Lavington Hall on March 18 included the chance to sample therapies and treatments and to buy pampering goodies from a number of stalls.

People were also able to book taster sessions of different treatments such as Reiki, Bowen and Indian head massage.

Mrs Bishop handed the money over to Emma Martin from the school parents association and to Philippa Winbolt the school head.
