POLICE have released an e-fit of a man they believed to be linked to the grabbing of a 61-year-old's bottom while she was walking along a road in Chippenham in June.

The man, who is described as in his 20s, 5ft10in tall, slim, with dark brown hair and wearing a white t-shirt with a dark coloured jacket and dark jeans, approached the woman on Wood Lane at approximately 8.10am on June 24, lifted her dress and grabbed her bottom before running off towards an alleyway that leads to London Road.

The 61-year-old victim was not injured but was left shaken by the sexual attack.

Local crime investigator Maxine Bromley said: “We have released this e-fit following a description given by a witness of a suspicious man in the area prior to the incident – and this description matched that of the victims.

“We’d like to hear from anyone who may recognise the man. Understandably the victim was left shaken and upset as a result of this man’s actions and we are continuing with our investigation to find the person responsible.

“We would ask that anyone with information contacts us via 101, or alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously if preferred.”
