MONTHS of work by organisers of Taste Wiltshire have had to be abandoned just two weeks before the event after MasterChef finalist Juanita Hennessey found herself double booked.

Mrs Hennessey was due to headline the foodie festival in Urchfont on September 10 but had to ring organiser Jenny Holt to say one day of filming with the BBC had turned into two.

Mrs Holt said: "We also had another demonstrator pull out at the last minute and I had to decide that the show could not go on. It is a huge shame as I had got seven schools involved and it was all looking really good.

"But after some thought I decided it would not be right to try and go-ahead without two of our main demonstrators."

It was announced a couple of months ago that next year's Taste Wiltshire will be moving to the Farm Cookery School in Bromham. Mrs Holt said: "I think it will work really well there as there is plenty of space and they have the facilities. I hope to be still involved. We had run the event in Urchfont for four years and it had been very successful.

"I was hoping this year would be the best ever and I am disappointed it could not go-ahead. Juanita was very upset that she had to tell me she could not come."
