Orbital is holding a jobs fair on Saturday October 21, with hundreds of full and part-time positions available.

Employers such as Marks & Spencer, ADSA, Outfit and McDonald's will be advertising retail and hospitality roles from 9am to 1pm, alongside local employment agencies looking to fill vacancies in the Swindon area.

A range of permanent and temporary Christmas jobs are on offer at Orbital’s retailers as the centre gears up for its busy festive trading period.

Local Job Centre representatives will be attending to provide advice to jobseekers, as well as support with CV writing and application forms.

The fair is held in partnership with North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson and will take place at his offices on the first floor of the Customer Service Hub, opposite the North Swindon police point.

This is the second consecutive year Orbital has hosted the employment event, following its successful launch last year which saw over 150 people attend.

Jamie Turner, Orbital's centre manager, said: “Last year’s jobs fair was really popular so we’re expecting a huge turnout.

“There will be some brilliant opportunities for people of all ages looking for a new role or even their first experience within the retail sector.

“As well as helping us find our future employees, it’s also a good chance to support people living in the local community.”

Justin Tomlinson MP said: “Jobs fairs are a great way to put local people in touch with employers in the area.

“Following last year’s event, we managed to get many people into new roles across the region. Registration isn’t required, so we just want to urge jobseekers to join us on the day.”
