FIREFIGHTERS from Chippenham and Malmesbury were called out to an incident involving a car on the M4 motorway this morning.
The incident happened at 8.16am today between Junctions 17 and 16 of the M4 following a road traffic collision on the eastbound carriageway.
A Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Following a road traffic collision on the eastbound carriageway, crews from Chippenham and Malmesbury were mobilised to a possible car fire.
“On arrival it was confirmed that the vehicle was not on fire and the services of the crews were not required. The incident was left with the police and ambulance service."
