STAFF at one Trowbridge business donned their Christmas jumpers to have a double celebration.

D W Money on Silver Street joined the fun when the couple announced the total raised at a Christmas party for Macmillan Cancer Support, handing over £1,640 to the charity as well as wearing their Christmas jumpers and raising money for another cause.

Leoly and David Wyatt finalised the count-up from the fundraising event at Westwood Social Club, handing over the monies raised to Steven Goodrick, fundraising manager for Macmillan, and raised further funds by celebrating Christmas Jumper day for Save the Children at David's business.

Leoly and David, who live on Towpath Road, Trowbridge, organise an annual fundraising charity party and were pleased to have raised so much from one event.

Leoly said: “I am so thrilled now the final total can be released and I sincerely thanked all those that have helped us to achieve this amazing sum of money. “

Christmas Jumper Day is an annual fundraising campaign in the UK organised by Save the Children. Today everyone is encouraged to make the world better with a sweater and raise funds for Save the Children by wearing a Christmas jumper and making a minimum donation of £1 to the charity.
