HIGHWORTH Town get their second shot at FA Cup progression this evening as they host Windsor in their extra preliminary round replay.

The two teams could not be separated when they met on Saturday, the Worthians snatching a late goal to make it 3-3.

After travelling to the Hellenic League Premier Division side at the weekend, Jeff Roberts' side will now host Windsor at the Save on Tyres Arena.

With several new arrivals manager Roberts acknowledged his troops were off the pace at the weekend but has faith that his new additions will come good.

“Everything takes time and nothing is going to work overnight,” he said.

“We have to play different formations at the start of the season.

“On Saturday there was a bit of a misunderstanding between the goalkeeper and Ross Adams which led to the second (Windsor) goal.

“Connor Johns went for it and then Ross went for the header and then Connor was caught off of his line.

“It’s a long old season we have just got to start a lot better because this year is a massive learning curve.

“We need a better performance tonight and I said to the players there is still a lot more to come from them.

“The formation they play doesn’t really suit our midfield, so they were a bit quiet because it was compact in there.

“A lot of players haven’t played with each other before.”

With their home surface being on a bit of a slope, Roberts believes it is more of a test for the away contingent.

“At Windsor they have a pitch that is very flat,” he added. “Obviously here they will see the pitch is a bit of a slope so hopefully we can use that to our advantage.”
