GUIDES in Upper Studley were delighted to raise £100 in aid of a project to build a primary school in Sudan.
The 1st Studley St John’s Guide Unit put on a evening where around 40 Guides and guests enjoyed playing beetle drive, a raffle and some tasty burgers at St John’s Church Hall.
Thanks to everyone’s contributions, £100 was raised towards helping the Bradford on Avon Deanery, who in turn will send that money to build the Peace Primary School in Sudan.
“The evening went very well and everyone had a good time,” said Marion Davies, of the 1st Studley St John’s Guide Unit.
“The beetle drive went down very well and with the burgers and the raffle we raised a good amount for a good cause.
“The Guides were very happy at how much we raised. The Guides worked really hard to help other people less fortunate than themselves.”
